What is the Public Utility Superintendency?
It is a government agency created by the Constitution of the Republic of Colombia in 1991. By delegation of the President of the Republic, it is responsible for monitoring and surveillance of companies that provide basic electricity, gas, water, sewerage, garbage collection and disposal. Protecting the rights of consumers of those public utility services as well as to enforce the cumpliance of their obligations.
